This was a complete remodle of the kitchen. The client wanted to refresh while still maintaining the layout and some of the charm of the original kitchen.  Having the cabinets over the peninsula suspended from the ceiling without a complete box out on top was a bit challenging but its one of those details that the client loved and didnt want to lose from the original design.  We got creative and found a solution that is both structural sound and stylish.  
  Every project has its unique challenges (planned or otherwise) and thats what we love, you dont get into renovations because you like to do the same thing everyday.  
 We also scraped and re textured the ceiling, took out the old light box and added a number of pot lights, remodelled 2 bathrooms and the pantry.  This was a great project for a really wonderful client.

This home was built in 1918, so we ran into a number of things that you would not have in your average renovation, such as wood chips for insulation, knob and tube wiring, and asbestos just to name a few.  With our past experience working in older homes along with our general underatanding of how things were built back then, we were fully prepared for everything that came up and made this dream kitchen without any major changes to the original plan.  
  This was a real fun project with many creative and unique custom finishes and beautiful custom counters from Damato.

There’s nothing I enjoy more than transforming an existing and uninspiring area into a new, attractive, functional and dare I say Pinterest worthy area ??‍♂️. The clients were thrilled with the finished product! Removing the doors and increasing the height of the opening made the space above the shelf much more accessible and useful, the built in drawers and bench along with the pop-up lid for extra “secret” storage really help make the most of the space, plus who needs doors when the inside of your closet looks this great!!!

This new look changed the entire feel of this room, we added style and created functional storage solutions. Most new TVs are quite a bit larger than they were 10 years ago, and those old niches just dont work anymore.  We filled in the niche added a beautiful ledger stone cladding along with a solid maple mantel and some very stylish, modern looking and functional cabinetry.
